GF Builders Ltd is a locally established building company based in Whakatāne, with a strong reputation built over decades of reliable service. Since our founding, a significant portion of our core work has involved contracts for the Ministry of Education and marae developments, working alongside a range of project managers and architects.
Our expertise spans architecturally designed new homes, residential alterations, and light commercial construction. We have also proudly contributed to major initiatives, including the Housing NZ Economic Stimulus Package.
Founded in 1986 by Gary and Marina Fowell, GF Builders began as a small partnership. From the moment Gary became a qualified builder, his goal was to be self-employed and deliver quality building services to the community. Over the years, the business has steadily grown into a respected limited liability company, successfully managing multiple residential and commercial projects across the region.
Gary Fowell – Qualified Builder – LPB
Gary Fowell is a qualified builder and LPB (Licenced Building Practitioner) registered professional. Gary has been working in the building industry for over 30 years. He is the owner and co-director of GF Builders Limited.
